""Meet ClaraBelle Blue" is one of the most diverse children's books on the market. The series helps children see that kids with special needs are just like them, kids - regardless of having a disability! As she likes to say, "I'm ClaraBelle Blue and I'm just like YOU!"

Meet ClaraBelle Blue The ClaraBelle Series Book 1 eBook Adiba Nelson Elvira Morando

This book is gorgeous. The illustrations are charming, my two year old loves it, and the writing is engaging. This should really be in stores everywhere. I would love to see a show about ClaraBelle!
I'm giving it four stars for two reasons: I wish it came in hardback, and there are some grammatical errors.
Update: today at the park there was an autistic child. I watched a mother steer her four year old away from playing with the kid. My two year old looked at her wild gesticulations and vocalizations, and she looked up at me questioningly. I just said "She's like Clarabelle Blue." My baby beamed and recited from memory "Clarabelle Blue, she's just like you! Special needs!" She was too shy to approach the girl but she kept beaming at her, and I was so very grateful for this book.

Meet ClaraBelle Blue The ClaraBelle Series Book 1 eBook Adiba Nelson Elvira Morando Reviews

Great book. Our daughter is in a wheelchair and I wanted her to have a book about how special she is and the amazing things she can do. This book is AWESOME!
I would love to see this book on the shelves of all schools. This is a wonderful book that shows that even if they have different abilities, children are children. Children only understand what they are exposed to and learn about. It is our job, as adults, to broaden the range of what they see and what they learn about.
I wish every child and parent could read this book. Because it shows how we’re all different with the same need for fun and love and we’re each doing the best we can, no one can do everything. Love, love, love this book, the art and the musical prose.
This book is for everyone! Adults and children alike. Adiba tells us all in a way how special needs children are just like the rest of us. All parents should have this book available to their children! Thank you Adiba Nelson!!
The 3yo loves the pictures, and the 6yo loves to read along with me. I love that ClaraBelle is giving them the chance to see that just because someone may have different abilities or needs than they do, it doesn't mean they're actually any different at all. The author tackles what many parents struggle to explain with grace and humor, and does it in a way that is easily understood and internalized by children (and adults) of all ages.
Great book about inclusion. Recommend that every school library should have and every family should read before kids go to public schools so they can realize while some kids are different, they still have the ability to interact in their own way and be apart of the group. Can't wait for the next book in the series!
Do you have a child? Do you know a child? Do you live in a world where there are children?
Teacher?
Nanny?
Mom?
Dad?
Grandma/pa?
Human person?

Then buy this book!!! Beautifully illustrated, wonderfully told, we all learn ClaraBelle Blue is just like you, and me and all of us. Inclusion isn't a dirty word and we should all be actively reading stories like this to our children to dispel the stigma of children and others with special needs. My 7 month old seems to already enjoy the photos and listens to me when I read the story. Bravo on a great book, I can't wait for more!
